struts and ActionForms

Hello everybody!

I'm right now trying to develop an application and I have some
problems. These problems seem to appear only when I use an actionForm
whose properties to map the form fields are other type than String (I
have test it with Date and BigDecimal properties). Do anyone knows
whether you can use only String values for this mapping?

ActionForms should have only Strings. They only represent the
parameters from the HTML form.
