Timeout differences

Hello,

What is the difference between the followings in web.config;

<SettionState> session timeout? and <authentication mode="Forms"> cookie
timeout?

Hi,

Yes it does,

but in case authentication cookie expires before the session cookie, how
does ASP handle this?
