Additional File properties eg Summary, Author

Hi All

I am trying to develop an application that will allow a user to copy
(upload) a file from a remote site to the server. No problem there.
What I need to do is take a set of comments, subject, document category
etc from a web page and apply them to a file that is being uploaded to
the server, ie if you right click a file in windows explorer and select
the properties then Summary tab, these are the properties that I need
to populate.

Is this possible and if so how do I achieve it ?

A pointer to an example would be much appreciated.
