asp.net hosting solution question

hi there,

i am developing a site for a small college (about 5000 students). the
dev will be in asp.net with sql-server 2k backend. im going to
outsource the hosting, but am not sure where to start. does anyone
know where to start researching things like hardware requirements,
dedicated vs. shared hosting, etc. i do have basic anticipated
traffic/load stats. i assume i should go with interland or one of
those guys, but am not sure about plans etc. thanks for any help.
