Is there a way to get which computers a connected to a local network
from java. I can get the local Network interface but I cannot guess
what is the mask, broadcast address etc.
BTW, I need this for Windows Network.

When I asked this, not too long ago, I was told that there was no way at all
to get the subnet mask using pure Java (and hence no way to calculate the
broadcast address etc). You might have a look at 1.5 to see whether it's
been fixed there.

I can overwork this - all I need is to start
"net computer" and parse the output.
Only it is not pure java.
Currently I am exploring jcifs package.. but I don't beleave in
miracles
