Can't read the characterization field

Hi.

I am using Windows 2000 and Visual Studio .NET 2003.

My site uses a search page based on Index Server functionality. Every
page uses a meta-tag like <META name="description" content="text goes
here">, and the catalog is configured to generate abstracts. When I run
my query, the characterization field always returns null.

I did recreate the catalog, stop and restart the service but nothing
seems to work. Can anyone help me with this issue?
