drag from outside web browser and drop

Hi
As the subject says, is this possible.
I'd like to drag a file onto a button and have the filename accesable within
that pages javascript.

As the subject says, is this possible.

Generally, no. What is outside of the browser is outside of
its DOM and thus outside of the scope of browser scripting.

Maybe you can handle that with the WSH. Windows and IE only,
of course.
