Eclipse Project view and cvs

J

junk

Hi,

I have just gone through an exercise of puting some of the projects in
my Eclipse workspace into a cvs repository. One of the four projects I
added is now displayed as in the Package Explorer as
Project name [cvs hostname]

in other words it has prepended a '>' onto the name of the project and
added the name of the cvs server on the end. Everything seems to have
been added to cvs ok for all four projects so I am not sure what the
significance of one of the project names being decorated like this.
Thanks for the help.

Basically it means that one or more files have been modified and need to
be synchronized with the CVS repository. See Eclipse Help docs
(Workbench Guide, various sections).

You can customize it in Window -> Preferences -> Team -> CVS -> Label
Decorations.
