Error Creating Control for All Controls

Something happened on my pc where I can no longer add web controls to any web
page. I get "Error Creating Control". When I run the page the controls appear
correctly. This is for all controls under system.web.ui.webcontrols. I did a
search for the system.web.dll and there the .dll in the 1.0 and 1.1
directory. I am using 1.1.

Would anyone know how to resolve this?

Forgot to add this, the informaiton icon displays "the type initializer for"

I tried repairing my visual Studio, but didn't work.

I resolvd this issue by uninstalling and re-installing the .net framework
