So far as I know, there is no free electronic version of this book
available. You need to buy it, like I did. It's worth the money.

Those may or may not be legitimate, but nobody will probably ever
find out. Those links appear to be to sites that connect to the
net at 110 baud.

The links you gave do indeed have the text in PDF format but I find it
strange that the page with copyright information is missing. There is
nothing from the inside cover indicating edition, publisher, ISBN, etc.
Why would this information be missing from an legitimate copy of the book?
I suspect this is an illegal copy of the book. I am sure Peter Van Der
Linden put a lot of work into this book. It is unfair to not buy his book.
Best things in life are free!

I think when Jean Williams Brown, Associate Justice, Alabama Supreme
Court, coined the phrase, "The best things in life are free; and they are
also priceless." I highly doubt he was referring to illegal copies of a
programming textbook.

Are you recommending that the OP acquire illegal copies of the book?

Hey Alan,
What you say is right but I think Peter has already got the money
he deserves and more than the money i think he has the respect of the
whole world after writing the C-bible. I feel this book might now
serve as community service to those C-Coders who need enlightenment(
peter I guess would agree on that count). atleast I know of some
countries where this book is inaccessible and also 40 dollars is
worth a fortune there.

A little surprised,
Jeremy.

And who are you to make that judgement?

I have no idea what you do for a living; presumably it involves doing
work in return for money. If I think you've already gotten as much
money as you deserve, would you mind working for free for me?

This is, of course, off-topic.

I can only assume you never created anything worthwhile in your life; if
you did, you would not be so flagrant about stealing other people's
work.

Seconded. Not only Peter van der Linden deserves money for each copy
finding its way to a reader's hands, but his publishing company does
too. Distributing pirate copies because "I think they have got enough
money" is stealing from both, and I find it extremely arrogant.
