Ground Floor Opportunity For Java Programmer

J

John

All:

I am the owner of a proprietary peer-2-peer client/server
architecture and data service which is the late stages of development.
Presently, I am pursuing financing for the project/company.

The client application is written in Java and the backoffice
is primarily Perl/Linux. It is currently functional but I decided I would
like to continue development on it instead of keeping it static since the
original developer is unable to stay involved with the project.

I am looking for a Java developer who would like to take the risk
of working on a project for no pay. If all goes well, the gig would turn
into a pay-job over the next couple of months and you would be an early
member of the team. Programming skills should include:

- presentation layer (GUI)
- multi-threaded design
- IPC (TCP/UDP/HTTP)
- content/asset management (text mostly)
- cross-platform (Windows/Linux/Mac)
- networking (firewalls, routers, general knowledge of other things)

You have to be willing to sign a Non-disclosure Agreement.

Since this won't pay anything initially, I would be happy if
you could put in some time in the evenings and on the weekends at first.

If this sounds interesting to you, you can respond to me at
(e-mail address removed).

I live in the greater Los Angeles area.

I look forward to hearing from you.

So you can't find money to pay the programmer, but you are able to find
money to pay the lawyer that draws up the exploitation agreement?

I love businessmen.

I think the original poster is on the wrong newsgroup; he wants
"alt.suckers".

If a job is worth doing, it is worth getting paid for. I'll bet he's paying
himself....

Perhaps not. But if John didn't pay his lawyer, then I wouldn't want to
be anywhere near him in 30 days.
