Help with frames

I have one page that I would like to have frames; but how do I break the
frame when another page is selected?

Thanks,

Ken

Why do you want to use frames? There are some acceptable, decent uses of
frames but for a plain ol' website frames are not recommended.

Doesn't make a lot of sense. what is it you are tryig to do really?

I have one page that I would like to have frames;

stop liking that. frames are evil and only of practical use in a very
limited number of circumstances.

Why do you think your visitor would prefer frames rather than one of the
other gazillion options that aren't so broken?

kissy

It makes perfect sense to me. Why he wants a frames page is not
part of the question he asked. In other words you are puzzled
and baffled by what the OP does not ask, you have conjured up
something and become confounded by it. I can think of a few
reasons to quite legitimately want a frames page and if you
agree to write to Bush and tell him it was a terrible mistake
voting for him, I will give you at least one.

(btw, I speak with great authority on this matter, having spent
weeks at great trouble getting out of my one and only frames
site...)

Perhaps you should be careful not to so easily assume that the OP is not
aiming at one of these circumstances...

Ah dorame, but your are making a fundamental error here, his support as
with his administration is based on faith not logic.

Fair enough point. But may I just point something out here, old
chap: remember the little note that you sent me re the correct
spelling of your name? Well, hey, what about mine? I don't think
you realise the full significance of the "y" in it. I know you
meant no harm. But it has raised questions with my minders...

where would be the fun in that? anyway my mommy said there is a high chance
of there being a better alternative to what the OP is doing rather than
frames indicated by the very basic frames question he asked.

so there! </pokes out tongue>

Perhaps you should be careful not to so easily assume that it would make any
difference to brucies answer no matter the circumstances...

It makes perfect sense to me. Why he wants a frames page is not
part of the question he asked.

Welcome to Usenet. Post a question, and the Usenauts take it as
a starting point for a discussion. If that happens to answer the
question, you can consider that as a lucky accident.

[Freely adapted from a usenet original, sorry.]

I must say that anyone who posts here about frames, without including
some kind of explanation or disclaimer, reveals that they are treating
usenet as a write-only medium: no-one who has been reading here for
even a minumum induction period could be unaware of the climate of
opinion about them.

Slowly I scan the room for exits as I slide my chair away from the

Perhaps I should join in just to say perhaps.

You are quite right about a lot of things. The context of my
remark was someone saying that the question "doesn't make a lot
of sense". The point of my slight irritation was that there is
no need to sort of pretend (is this the right word or too
strong?) that one does not understand a simple enough
question... One can and should raise questions and discussions
without such devices or pretences.

I notice you wise-tell about the essential nature of usenet. Me,
I don't think it /has/ an essential nature. It is a whole lot of
earthlings and a few infiltrators saying things... (I include
Queenslanders as well as Martians in the latter category)

Anyway, what has this to do with html/css?

:)

Well, since you have endorsed this, perhaps I should say that
perhaps I don't assume any such thing. Fancy anyone thinking
that a Martian would worry about whether something or other
would make a difference to some bloke in Queensland. Do you
really suppose I say things to make a difference? I say things
because I like hearing the sound of penetrating truth piercing
the earth air... not so easy back home mate...

So, you like to freak folk out... That's a shame. And you don't
like travelling. Fancy that now, in a state as big as
Queensland... You would think a feller that likes to stalk other
beings, freak them out, would get to be prepared to do a bit of
travelling to get his kicks...
