how to include country list in my own drop down list?

Dear all developers,

i m using asp.net to develop web application.. i hav an dropdown list which
let user to select their country.

as i know, i no need to insert all country name as member of my dropdown
list, but i can just call some function / web service by microsoft, isn't
it.? however, i hav no idea abt that
