    Discuss if you like, but not in the comp.lang.* newsgroups. It's
    certainly off-topic in comp.lang.c and comp.lang.c++; I'm not certain
    about the topicality conventions in comp.lang.java.programmer.

    Followups set to comp.jobs and comp.jobs.computers.

    We must do something. This is something. Therefore, we must do this.

    not us USA, try China (India outsources to them
    so there should be some work to do)

    In US, the job market in software engineers are even poor than any
    other IT such as technical support or QA. But in general, software
    engineers should deserve more salaries compared with technical support
    or QA. I guess this is pure demand/supply problem.
