I need to secure pages in my Web application - login (for securing login
credentials between browser and server), shopping cart checkout page, etc...
I'd like recommendations (books, links, etc) for learning how to secure such
communications on the public Internet. I'm looking to learn this topic to
some meaningful depth (*not* necessarily looking for a quick-hit recipe, as
I want to actually understand what's going on).
In my research, I found the following article

- I'd like to know from those of you who have implemented SSL if this guy's
solution is fairly mainstream and reasonable, or if I should go with
something very different.
