Listbox controls and validation

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know why a required field validator control
will not work properly when applied to a asp.net multiple
line listbox control? Users can currently add or remove
items into the listbox on the client. Regardless if an
item is in the list, the validator always returns an error
message indicating that the listbox is empty.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
