Looking for PowerC Library Source Disk

I purchased MIX Software's PowerC, Power Trace, and the Library Source Code
($50 for all three) over 10 years ago while in college. The book itself was
well worth the price as it really augmented the books required by my
professor. Through the years though, I have lost some of my disks.

I have my PowerC Compiler and Power Trace disks but I can not find my
library source disk. Calls and emails to MIX Software have gone unanswered.
Would anyone have the ~100 files (700K) files they could make available to
me? I would gladly buy them again from MIX for $10 but they are not
responding to my request.

I did the same, but it was more like 20 years ago. I didn't think they were
even still in business until I saw their website about a year ago (which they
of course never had when I first encountered them).

The book itself was well worth the price as it really augmented the books

I agreed at the time, not having been exposed to K&R or H&S yet by then.

Through the years though, I have lost some of my disks.

Hmm, now I really wish I could find the library disk, we could make
a decent set by mixing the two together.

Well, he has probably moved on, or retired, by now. I guess that website
I found was a leftover forgotten on a hosting site somewhere, or you
just caught the effects of a "one person shop" on vacation/sabbatical.

Hmm, I meant to say, but left out that much better compilers exist today,
the PowerC libraries are not going to be up to current standard levels,
and probably heavily MS-DOS dependent. You're probably much better off
for just about all purposes looking into open source compiler / library
implementations today, unless you just have to maintain some old legacy
code written explicitly for PowerC.

Actually, it was two guys. Back in the 80's I lived near their office
and would sometimes drop in to chat. The guy who wrote the C Trace
Debugger, Dr. Neil Bennett, was way, way ahead of his time. I still
think it was one of the best designed debuggers ever written. I still
look for similar features in modern debuggers for whatever language I am
writing in.

anything about Greg Teater finally getting ahold of the PowerC Library
disk. Randy Howard said he also had lost his. I did see that the date of
the messages was over a year old, but sometimes people just give up
looking for things. So, I was just trying to be of help. Maybe on the next
problem, I can be.

Ohhh... that's not really "done" around here. Helpfulness is punished
