Networking with ACE

D

dude

I have a couple questions:

1) The only info I can find on ACE network programming is books. So do any
of you think ACE is a good thing to use?

2) Not sure if you guys care to answer this one or if it is even fit for
this newsgroup; why does the Windows Winsock have such a liking for
corruption? Of course I know about the DLL problem with Win9x but Windows XP
has a lot of problems with it. Windows 2000 has the least in my opinion. Any
programming reason for this?

Thank you...

Hallo,

...comp.soft-sys.ace (ACE programming, porting, and systems.) exists.

Yeah, I saw that but I figured everyone there would be totally pro-ACE and I
wouldn't get a good sense of its pros and cons...

However, you're well off-topic for comp.lang.c++. ACE is a 3rd-party
framework, and thus not on-topic here. You might try something in the
comp.programming hierarchy. (However, _I_ like ACE...)
