RSS: author must include an email address

Folks,

Maybe a newbie issue, but I do not quite understand why
http://test.aces.uiuc.edu/news/RSS/AcesNewsRSS1.xml
will not validate on RSS validator (http://validator.w3.org/feed/).

It falls over on line 32, which is
<author>[email protected] The Dude</author>

I am not seeing the obvious here. Can some one point it out please?

(e-mail address removed) The Dude is not an e-mail address.
(e-mail address removed) is.

The example I was following used the format:
<author>[email protected] The Dude</author>

instead of:
<author>[email protected] (The Dude)</author>

Your suggestion works like a charm as well.
