Phil Tomson

Just saw this on http://radar.oreilly.com/

Here's the top 10 OSCON tutorials based on attendee signups so far:

1. Learning Ajax [with Rails]
2. Perl Best Practices [use Ruby]
* 3. Ruby on Rails: Enjoying the Ride of Programming
4. Perl Best Object Oriented Practices [Use Ruby]
5. Scalable Internet Architectures
6. Creating Passionate Users [using Rails as a case study]
7. XUL: The Future of User-interfaces on the Web
* 8. Introduction to Ruby
9. Subversion [with Ruby]
10. PHP Security [Use Rails]

[OK, the stuff between '[' and ']' are my editorial comments ]

And now the *important* Pre-announcement:
PDX.rb is planning some activities during OSCON Wednesday afternoon
and evening (Aug. 3rd). If you're planning to come to OSCON, please think
about coming by Wednesday morning so you can participate. More info
coming soon.

BTW: If you're doing a Ruby-related talk at OSCON, could you please drop
me an email? If you would have liked to have presented a talk at OSCON
but your talk was rejected, please also drop me a line - we're interested in
having some of those talks at our gathering.
