transparent png on explorer

Hi all,

I have done a transparent png that is not displayed correctly in ms
explorer using css background-image.

There is any way to make it working?

IE has a few little problems with .png transparency. use a .gif

Do we NEED to have an eleven line signature?

tell your IE visitors to put up with it and if they have a problem
perhaps suggest to them that complaining about a browser over 3 1/2
years old not supporting something is like complaining about your
grannies old b/w TV not supporting color.

standard (I guess) 4 lines.

I tried this hack, and the first-child one with partial success.

Basically what I did is in http://test.faino.org/test.html (html hack here).

For the site I have decided to apply a white background (
http://test.faino.org ) so no problem there, but I am curios to see how
complicated is this stuff.

Basically whith the light blue background color (first url) ie displays
the images aligned left, of course my desire is to have aligned right ))

Could be achivied this? I tried something without success.
I guess may be a general problem, I had to use .png things cause the
fonts (specially the orange ones) was like non antialised I guess cause
..gif is not able to do anti-alias well with an alpha channel 1 bit only.

Am I right thinking that?

Use PhotoShop CS to generate your images. It fakes "smooth edges" quite
well. Not ideal, but sometimes it's better than nothing. MS suppsedly fully
support PNG in IE 6.1 (next year?) and IE 7 (Part of Windows 6, in 2006).
That's a LONG wait.
