Upgrade web ASP.net 1.x to ASP.net 2.0

I build the ASP.net application from VS 2003 to VS 2005.
When I uploaded the dlls and aspx files it 's giving an error of not
able to locate the c sharp files.
Is it compulsory to upload the csharp files??

It is if you aren't compiling it before uploading
