Lead Software Engineer -
Device Side Development Key Responsibilities You will be a key
contributor in CLIENT's leading edge Network Management Software team,
focused on extending the management interface presented by CLIENT's
switching and routing platforms. Responsibilities include modeling the
administrative and operational features of the device to provide an
object-oriented (CORBA) management interface for use by the ShadeTree
Management Suite (StMS). This requires extensive interaction with both
the device-side and StMS engineers to understand, model, and implement
a management interface exposing the various features of the device.
This position requires hands-on participation and execution throughout
the product lifecycle, including product architecture, component
design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
Qualifications [Required] The candidate must be a proficient software
developer with exceptional C++ programming skills. Experience with
multi-threaded programming is necessary. The candidate must also
possess strong software engineering and object-oriented design skills.
A BS or MS in EE/CS or equivalent experience.
5-10 years of relevant experience. 10+ years of relevant experience
for Principal Software Engineer position.
Prior experience working with Network Management Systems.
Experience with CORBA interface definition and implementation.
Effective communication skills and an ability to work effectively in a
dynamic team environment are essential for success.
