Visual Web Developer 2005 Registration

I am using Visual Web Developer 2005 for some time already.
Recently I find out that there is a SP1 for it so I installed it.

Now every time I start it, it's asking me to register. I went through that
process numerous amount of time already but still it does so.

Plus I do not see any indication that SP1 was installed. If I go into menu
Help/About nothing tells me that SP1 was installed.

Anyone went through that and knows how to fix it?

I had a similar experience, even though I was already registered.

By clicking through on the register button and stepping through the passport login, I was recognized and my registration key was
retrieved for me. I was able to plug it back in to VWD and continue working.

A rather annoying experience, but not totally unexpected from the antics of Microsoft who likes to control their customers by
putting them through some "hoops" every once in a while to prove who is really in control.
