Hi,

I was wondering if it Is it possible to use IBM Websphere Application
Server with Netbeans IDE.

I installed the websphere and went into netbeans and right click the
web project and went into properties but there it only shows the
Tomcat Server and doesnot show the websphere server.

Thanks a lot.

Assuming you are running NetBeans 5.5 then go to Tools->Update Center
and make sure that "NetBeans Update Center Beta" is checked. Click
Next and NetBeans will give you the opportunity to add the Websphere
Application Server to the list of upgrades. When you have finished the
upgrade you can choose Window->Runtime, right click on Servers and
click on Add Server. Websphere should be in the list of available
servers.

I have the Visual Web Pack installed but I think that the above
procedure should work even if you don't.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for the info. I have a question. When i goto runtime
and servers, then it asks for a server path, i could'nt seem to give
it the correct path. I went into the installaion directory and gave it
that but it wont accept it. Do you which directory we should specify
there.

Also will this method work for 6.1 too? It says 6.0 in the list right?

Thanks a lot for the help.

I'm sorry. I don't have Websphere installed but I would have expected
the installation directory to work.

Once again, I would expect 6.1 to work. Check the IBM docs to see if
they have changed the Websphere directory structure.

Perhaps it's time to consult the specialists. Netbeans has a support
