3des encryption question

hi,
if someone knows the original and encrypted form of some information that i
have encrypted with my private key using 3des in .net, does this compromise
the private key?

It is possible. It depends on how much info and how good the person is (and
how much time they have). If they have the entire message, certainly, as
they can match the text to the crypto text and get the key back. Either way,
they would have to know something about crypto.
