It would be useful to create an app that could be used to monitor IP
traffic on well known ports. For example IM analysis to prevent
corporate docs from being xferred out, or illegal content coming in. Or
SMTP spam realtime detection.
I am envisioning a program that accepts connections on a ServerSocket
and then passes the connection to a monitor and ongoing connection
handler.
Is there anything already in existence like this in the Java world?
