hi,
are there any classes/api's for accessing bluetooth devices on
'regular' computers beside those specified in the j2me toolkit.
when i use the jsr82 packages (javax.bluetooth, javax.obex) i'm bound
to use the j2me packages (javax.microedition.io) to make bluetooth
connections and when mixing those classes with j2se classes (e.g.
java.awt) and others and run those programs on a local regular pc i
receive runtime errors as the underlying virtual machine (j2se)is not
able to localize the local device or able to get its properties (which
is not emulated as when running on the j2me emulators).
if i restrict my usage of classes to the j2me packages everything
works out fine (on the emulator) but i'm not able to make use of my
local (laptop) bluetooth device for which i want to write some applications.
any suggestions or hints to further resources?
thanks
