apache 1.3 started failed with mod_python 2

Hi,

Does anyone have any instruction about how to install mod_python 2 with
apache 1.3 support?
After installed mod_python 2 in my FreeBSD 5.2 Current system, and added
moduleLoad and *.c in the apaache 1.3 httpd.conf file,
apachectl restart got "reference .c not found" error.
