Application activation from browser (E-mule href="e2dk://..." way)

Hi,

When you have Emule ruuning and on some web page you click on a link
href="e2dk://...", this click (with params) is automatically redirected
to Emule application (instead of new browser page navigation). This
works the same way in IE and Firefox.

How do I implement such behaviour in my application? I didn't succeed
to find any documentation.

I think it works through file association and it's not as such
programmed to the actual page.
