Cannot remove Gap after Table inside a DIV tag

L

Hi I have a problem where I have a Table inside a <DIV> tag and it juts
fully up against the border of the DIV tag at the top however at the
bottom of the table is a gap of about 10-15px between the table and the
border of the closing <\DIV>. I wish to remove the gap however I am
unable to remove it. My DIV tag has padding: 0px; and margin:0px

My Table has no formatting other than for the tr and td elements - what
could be causing a gap after my Table?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Dominic

A URL would be helpful.

Thanks for your help I checked it out and it is the table causing the
problem but I am still unsure.

Well I am happy to say that thanks to all of you I found out the
solution.

I had to place a simple bit of CSS code in my CSS file.

form { margin-bottom:0; }

The reason I had this gap is because it was created by the Form

I had a Table inside a Form which was inside the DIV.

I did not realise that the Form element can be formatted.

Thanks to all and to all a good night or day wherever you are.

Geez, you said nothing about a form in your original (or any of your)
posts. How in blazes did you expect to get any help in the first place?

I have to agree. Personally I like helping folks out. The fun of the
forensics in locating the problem, but with posts so vague as "My page
don't look good" and when we ask for more detail and an URL they get,
well, combative, it kind of kills the thrill!

Yep. I may not be the most "learned" guy around; persons like Jukka and
Alan F. and Toby and, well, yourself, etc ad infinitum, might know the
specs of the specs better than I, but I can just about always get my pages
to do what I want, and validly. Often it's fun to share the methods and
"learned" knowledge gained in doing one's markup, but when you run across
an attitude, it definitely dampens the old enthusiasm. After some negative
experiences of my own in the past year, I'll still try - but only
occasionally.

LOL! You really cannot make this stuff up!

Hard not to get cynical on how dense folks can be. I remember several
years ago when my son lent one of his computer games to a fellow
classmate. Later that night my son got a call, his friend was having
difficulties installing the game on his computer. I listened as my son
when through all the steps of opening Explorer, navigating to the CD-ROM
finding the "setup.exe" double-clicking and all. After a very long and
protracted exchange where his friend's reply would always be "Nothing
happens". My son was getting frustrated. He began to get rightfully
suspicious that the kid's drive wasn't working so he asked "Can you see
the game CD?" and his friend replied "No, it was in his backpack".

It can be made up and some people have an unconscious inbuilt
humour generator, saw an old film the other night, O My Darling
Clementine, a western, Henry Fonda as Wyatt Earp, he was in love,
standing at the bar late at night, no one but the barman and
himself. He says to the barman whistfully, "Hey, Mac, ever been
in love?" The barman replied: "No, I've been a barman all me life"

I can assure you this is not a fabricated tale. But then again the
school system here is not cranking out top-notch rocket scientists!

I never doubted your tale at all... it was nice one too. Reminds
me of those transcripts of help desk exchanges one now and then
gets... where things like the helper instructs the helpee to plug
the plug into the electrical socket and switch the power on...
