Cast problem in Datagrid

Hi All

I building Server Control Inherited from Datagrid:

Thil line of code causes error:
Dim ds As DataSet
ds = Convert.ChangeType(Me.DataSource, GetType(DataSet))

Error:
Object must implement IConvertible
Wats wrong? Help
