Hi,
I wish to import the contents of a package:
import com.hp.hpl.jena.rdf.model.*;
but get the following compiler error:
test.java:15: package com.hp.hpl.jena.rdf.model does not exist
import com.hp.hpl.jena.rdf.model.*;
The com.hp.hpl.jena.rdf.model stuff appears to be in a file
called jena.jar. Setting the CLASSPATH environment variable
to the directory where "jena.jar" is does not fix the
problem. I'm trying this on a linux PC.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?
cheers
steve
Put the jar file in the classpath, not the directory containing the jar
file.

Ok, I didn't snip anything.
You should have. The prior post is still there, at least in my browser, and
I do not need to read throught the whole thing again just to get to your
comment. I suggest carrying only enough to make it clear to the reader which
portion of the prior post you are responding to, and assume the reader has
read, or if interested will read, the prior post for any missed detail. Some
folk like to complain that their posts are truncated, but this plaint is
valid only if you truncate it in such a way as to make it say something
different than intended.

You are kidding, right? The equivalent capacity in coal with practically
the same heat dumped will now make all the little creatures happy and
chipper? Talk about reaching...
I suggest he talk to the creatures that live down wind of the coal plants,
or perhaps down stream of the ash heaps. This kind of talk is just silly.
The only reason humans care is that we live a relatively long time so a few
REM can, potentially, slightly increase our chance of getting cancer, that
is if we do not smoke, do not work with insecticides, or make our living by
other risky means. An animal with a 20 year life span is not likely to
notice the nuke, but will be bummed out by the excess acid and crap from a
coal plant. Too bad they can't talk, eh?
