I'd be grateful for information on how to call a webservice from
javascript and extract values from the xml it returns, or for
recommendations of a cookbook-style javascript book with some good
examples. I'd like to avoid proprietary approaches like ActiveX.
Also, are there any javascript "components", commercial or open-
source, that would facilitate this? It would be very helpful to
have a component where the developer could set a few properties,
then invoke a .Consume method, and it would return an object with
properties representing the parsed xml returned by the webservice.
Anything like that out there?
Thanks
