development tool review

has any one compared komodo and sapphire on steel editors and reviewed
them side by side. i am looking to move away from notepad++ and into a
good development editor.

I haven't compared them head to head, but my impression is that Sapphire
In Steel is tightly integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio and Komodo
is portable to Windows, Linux, MacOS and some others. Komodo will
definitely handle all the major dynamic languages, not just Ruby.

I am very happy with Komodo, by the way. I do mostly Linux Ruby
development.
