Disabling hover in IE Tabstrip webcontrol

I have replaced the tabstrip text by images and have deleted all kind
of hover properties. But even after doing that, on mouseover i get
some kind of flicker, basically some hover effects.
On View source i still get some hover styles, how do i disable the
hover thing completely.

Any kind of help in the regards will be highly appreciated.
