encrypt password in JNDI file

The password to access database through JNDI is cleartext and it's
placed in my tomcat server (/conf/catalina/localhost).

Is there a way to encrypt this password in my JNDI file?

Thanks

Pretty much no. And even if there were, all tools and keys needed to
decrypt it would have to be located in (or available to, which amounts
to the same thing) Tomcat.
