I have a web application (App1) successfully using Enterprise Library 3.1
Data Application Blocks to read from a database. App1 contains a reference
to another application (App2) which uses EntLib 1.1 Data Application Blocks
to read from a database. App2's EntLib 1.1 dlls are strongly-named and exist
in my GAC.
Whenever I call a method in App2 from App1 and App2 must read configuration,
I get the exception "Invalid Section Name. The section 'dataConfiguration
does not exist...etc".
Basically I can't execute methods in App2 from App1 where App2 is using
Enterprise Library configuration data. It's almost as if App2 is confused or
somthing because it is using EntLib 1.1 and App1 (the calling application) is
using EntLib 3.1.
Does my problem make sense? Is a dll using entlib 1.1 compatible with a dll
using entlib 3.1? What is causing my problem?
Thanks.
