Hi All

I use ISE 9.1i. I want to store my projects in a repository.

I want to store:
1. Project file "project.ise"
2. Source files (.vhd, etc...)
3. User defined constraint files (.ucf, .pcf, etc...)
4. The environment options of Synthesis, Implement Design(Translate,MAP, Place & Route) and Generate Programming file (BitGen).

In relation to point 4 above:
- The Synthesis options are stored in a .xst file in a subdirectory of the project called "__projnav".
- The BitGen options is stored in a .ut file in the project directory.

My question is in regard with point 4 above is:
1. In what file(s) does ISE store the options set in the design environment for Implement Design(Translate,MAP, Place & Route).

Thank you

Hallo Everyone

In regard to my question about what files should be stored in the repository to include the options for Synthesis, Translate, MAP, PAR and BitGen set in ISE. It is only necessary to store the project file, i.e. the .ise file. All the options are stored in there. Makes sense huh. The .ut and .xst files are not files that contain setting for ISE but are report files, about the settings.

So the files that must be stored in the repository are:
1. Project file "project.ise"
2. Source files (.vhd, etc...)
3. User defined constraint files (.ucf, .pcf, etc...)

These are the files that ISE will copy into a new directory if you "Save Project As.." in a new directory.
