GTK2 on ubuntu

I am trying to write a program using ruby and GTK2 on a Ubuntu system. I
have successfully got my Ruby installed, but I have no idea how to go
about installing the GTK2. Please advice.

package 'libgtk2-ruby' should fit your needs, I guess
