How to change the value of a drop down using javascript

Hi

How do I change the value of the dropdown using javascript in ASP.
My dropdown has values and one of the values in there is "Unknown", I
want to change that value to "All" and when the user selects the
dropdown, it must show "Unknown" as "All"

I'm new to this and your help will be appreciated.

This is what I was trying to do:

function setAllProduct(){
document.genericCapture.nProductCodeID.items[]
var nSelItem =
parseInt(document.getElementById("<%=nIndex%>Description")[document.getElementById("<%=nIndex%>Description").selectedIndex].value);

// ** P Code
// find me the index of the item of the
document.genericCapture.nProductCodeID select where the VALUE is zero
document.genericCapture.nProductCodeID.items[Index].value = 'All
Products';
}

//I want to load this drop down with the new changes
window.attachEvent("onload", function () {setAllProduct()});
