Hi,
I have download search result as .cvs feature implemented in pages I'm
working on. I'm calling it by submitting form (post) and I output header for
download file and it works almost fine. Almost, because there are two
problems. The first is when you chose open file, same IE download dialog is
shown twice, and the second is when you chose save file, JavaScript in
original window throws "access denied" error.
ok, first problem is not so bad, but this second is the one that is really
problematic (for users - they have to refresh window to continue with work).
So I searched the net and I found MS recommended workaround - to set form's
target attribute to invisible iframe element. Yes, it's working, JavaScript
works properly after saving file, but .... when I try to submit form to
another action (not download - just straight output - target="_self") IE6
crashes (famous "We are sorry for the inconvenience." message).
I'm working in PHP/Apache and only for IE6 (lucky me )
