Dr J R Stockton
From the access statistics, it appears that <URL:http://www.merlyn.demon
..co.uk/js-randm.htm#GRI> has been left running, and has generated a very
large number of accesses to the graphic images of digits. It may be
that these accesses are only queries to see whether the images have
changed; but they are counted.
I shall rapidly change it (and another page) so that the code only runs
for a few seconds, which should largely fix the problem in practice as
far as over-access to my site is concerned. ... Done, using variable
RunFor.
But I had hoped that the images would be fully cached. Comment and
advice? I have no control over server settings.
It's a good idea to read the newsgroup c.l.j and its FAQ. See below.
