Is posting source to Usenet redistribution?

I have some source code I would like to request the readers to go over,
but would like to clarify a matter of etiquette first: I have used the
linked list implementation from kazlib by Kaz Kylheku. The
implementation has not been modified in any way.

Would posting the source for the implementation (which is under a BSD
license) along with that for my own program be considered
redistribution? Would I be within the rights granted by the author?

Shipping the code in any form, compiled or source, is "redistribution".

The BSD license allows it.
