Description:
The person in this position will be working on a School Policy Insurance and
Loss Control Management project to automate current manual work processes to
a streamlined automated system. This will be web-based utilizing Java/J2EE
technology and an Oracle database. As a member of this team,
responsibilities would include conceptual and detail design, prototyping,
development and deployment planning. Skills must include a thorough
understanding of J2EE technology and Java development using Oracle
Application server and JDeveloper development tool, architectural design and
planning, performance tuning and deployment to a distributed web
environment. Specific technical experience with Oracle 9i AS, JDeveloper,
and BC4J framework desired. Prefer someone that has experience in
property/casualty insurance policy management, claims processing, and
Accounts Payable/Receivable systems. Also prefer someone with good verbal
and written communication skills that can work independently, with little
or no supervision, while still being a team player.
