JSP Method Naming Convention

Probably a silly question, but is there a significance to the underscore in
the method _jspService()? The other methods in a servlet generated from a
JPS are jspInit() and jspDestroy. Does the underscore signify something
meaningful?

Probably a silly question, but is there a significance to the underscore in
the method _jspService()?

Dating back many decades to usage in other languages including C, underscores
usually indicate 'internal' names. Name you shouldn' mess with. Such a name
looks good, but they might change the name next time they re-write the
JSP transation tool.
