LinkButton and page error in datagrid

A LinkButton in a datagrid opens a new window, when clicked. Then clicking
on the next page number in the datagrid raises the following error:

Invalid CurrentPageIndex value. It must be >= 0 and < the PageCount.

though PageCount is a few dozens and CurrentPageIndex is set to 1.

How can I fix this problem?
