Loading Itemtemplate with CheckBox dynamically in Gridview

I'm creating a WebPart using a custom control so there is no designer. I'm
trying to write the code to load a checkbox in a gridview. The markup would
look as follows: <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Qty">
<ItemTemplate>
<asp:CheckBox .... ></asp:CheckBox>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:TemplateField>
Something like this:
CheckBox box = new CheckBox();
TemplateField check = new TemplateField();
check.HeaderText = "Del?";
check.ItemTemplate = box???
_view.Columns.Add(check);
