Log4j core ... where to get?

Hello all,

I am having trouble using Log4j because it includes all kind
of logging support e.g. J2EE, etc. I only need the very core
of it for a thin API that I need to upload to Oracle as Java
Stored Procedures ...

My question is where can I get the minimal distribution of
log4j? is there a Log4J core ... I have seen it somewhere
but can't find it straight using Google ...

Maybe you should think about another logging framework (have a look at
http://java-source.net/open-source/logging - Simple Log is quite nice)

Or get the log4j sources and RYO micro-edition.

Hello Chiron,

I thought about RYO but then I would miss improvements,
upgrades, bug fixes etc etc.

I will definitely have a look at the framework you propose.
