looking for example redering in webcustomcontrol an embeded image

in vb.net
I created a webcustomcontrol and it has two embed gif images.
I would like to render them when control is activated in run time.
I have not found any articles or examples on how to do that.
I am ware that embeding imaged in a dll is discouraged.

First, you have to understand the whole thing of Request- / Responsecycle.
